Sustainability Conference and Fair

*This is a free event open to all students and members of the community

      

From 9:00-3:30 Come to the Recreation Center to participate in the largest Sustainability Conference in SSU History! Events begin at 9:00am. Both upstairs dance Studios(Niagara and Silver Strand) and the Small Gym(Mt. McKinley) will be transformed into conference rooms where we can hear from experts and discuss solutions to Global Warming.

From 12:00-4:00pm Mt.Everest Gymnasium will hold a FAIR showcasing Green Businesses, Non-profits and Organizations. Helping you GO GREEN!

From 3:30 -5:30pm Come to Green Democracy and hear about local politicians' commitment to our future and SSU's commitment to sustainability.  Green Democracy will be taking place in the SSU Commons.

                        Sustainability Fair


12:00-4:00 Mt Everest Gymnasium
Local Green business, non profits and Sustainable organizations gather in the Mt. Everest Gymnasium to table and network. Come see solutions to global warming and learn how you can get involved. The event is free and open to the public and Sonoma Community. The sustainability Fair is co-sponsored by Codding Enterprises, Akena Solar, and the Sierra Club.

 

                                 

                            Green Democracy 

 

3:30- 5:30  SSU Commons

SSU Faculty Senate Host a round table discussion with elected officials, administration and students on Sustainability. Come find out what elected officials and candidates are doing to lower our carbon footprint and what the universities role has been and can be in this effort.
